The Tibetan Development Fund (TDF) was founded in April 1980 to help Tibetans in isolated and inaccessible regions and contribute to the safeguard of their culture.

For the TDF, youth education and training have always been a priority as they are seen to represent Tibet’s future.

Since its establishment, the TDF has been financing a number of projects in Jampa Ling (Nepal). In 2005, the society has also provided its help to Ghilling (Upper Mustang), purchasing solar panels for the nursery.

Early 2002, it extended its activities towards India, (boarding house in Ladakh) and the Tibetan Children’s Villages (TCV), and towards Tibet.

In all its projects, the TDF works with local partners.

Correspondence with the sponsored children is encouraged to create enriching bonds.
